About me

My name is Carl Stoker. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Rhode Island. I’m a big fan of Python and C/C++. I also have extensive knowledge and experience with the GNU/Linux and Windows operating systems, as well as developer tools like git, Visual Studio and VS Code, PyCharm, and Eclipse. Selected Works

During my time at the University of Rhode Island, I have been involved in a number of projects including:

• a multi-room dungeon-crawler similar to The Legend of Zelda using the pygame framework
• creating an artificial intelligence system which takes photos of artwork and classifies it into its respective style (baroque, impressionist, etc.)
• a virtual machine, written in Rust, which executes a custom assembly language and then using profiling techniques to improve performance
